Choosing your first AI workflow.
The first decision in an AI project is which task to change. A small, concrete workflow makes the information requirements and review process easier to evaluate.

Define the input and the output
For proposal drafting, the inputs might be meeting notes and product information. The output is a first draft for a team member to review. This is a more useful scope than automating sales as a whole.
Include the cost of review
Measure the time spent correcting and checking the draft, not only the time spent generating it. Record missing information and recurring corrections to understand where the workflow needs improvement.
Test with real examples
Use the documents your team works with, including incomplete examples. Decide how uncertain results should return to a person before introducing the workflow into everyday work.
